Susan Browand, 80, of Pittston, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021 in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She was the widow of Samuel H. Browand, who passed away May 16, 2018.
Born in New York, NY, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Marion Gray Schreiner. She had been educated in Parsippany, NJ schools. Prior to retirement, she was a waitress at Copper Kettle Restaurant, Chambersburg. Susan was a member of the Pittston Senior Center, where she volunteered her talent crocheting many blankets, hats and gloves.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her son, Samuel Browand; daughters, Deborah Browand, Carol Morris and husband, Dody and Suzanne English; five grandchildren, Theresa Glessner and husband, Michael, David White and wife, Elissa, Rebecca Fraker and husband, Michael, Shawn English and Ryan English; nine great grandchildren, Tiffany White ,Ryan McLain, Callie White, Autumn White, Merriel Fraker, Star Rouke and husband Austin, Morgan Fraker, Hunter Fraker, and Summer Fraker; great great granddaughter, Athena Rouke, several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her two grandsons, Justin White and Wesley Carbaugh and brother David Schreiner.
Funeral and interment will be private at the convenience of the family, as per Susan's wishes.
