Dawn L. Winsock, 58, of Meshoppen, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family, after a brief battle with cancer.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, she was one of five children born to the late Elwood, Sr. and Roszella Berger Turner. Dawn was a graduate of Wyoming Area High School. In years past, she had worked for Golden Technologies in Duryea.
Dawn was a loving mother above all else, but was also a devoted fiancée, follower of Christ, sister, aunt and a friend to many. There was no greater joy in her life than spending time with her daughter and son-in-law.
Dawn enjoyed bible study, crafting, playing bingo, and being a sponsor for children at Christmas time. She also deeply loved all animals, including her dog, Wiggles and two cats, Baby Girl and O.J.. She was cherished by her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Felicia Zydko and husband, David, Jr., West Pittston; brothers, Elwood "Butch" Turner, Jr. and wife, Robin, Pittston; Carl and Michael Turner, both of West Pittston; fiancé, Todd Brewer, Meshoppen; best friend, Sissie Harris; grand dogs, Chase and Howie; nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Dawn was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Turner.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 1, 2025, in Baloga Funeral Home Inc., 1201 Main St., Pittston (Port Griffith), with Rev. Larry Kelly, officiating.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service, at the funeral home.
