John T. Tobin - Private

John T. Tobin, 83, of Kingston, formerly of Pittston, passed away peacefully Friday, February 13, 2015, at the Kingston Health Care Center, with his loving family by his side. He and his wife, Rose Stegura Tobin, celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on April 26, 2014.

He was born in West Pittston, the oldest child of the late Mathias and Lois Bubb Tobin. John was educated in the West Pittston schools and later served as an Assistant Gunner in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard 109th Infantry Regiment. For over 20 years, he was employed by Dupont Powder Mill, Suscon, until his retirement.

In addition to his wife, also surviving are his children, Thomas Stegura, William C. Tobin, April A. Kuzynski, Brian A. Tobin, Bruce A. Tobin and Shari L. Tobin; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his sisters, Marylou Young and Joan Shotwell.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Baloga Funeral Home, Inc. 1201 Main Street, Pittston, (Port Griffith).
