Michael F. Sroga, Sr., 58, of Dupont, passed away Wednesday morning, July 15, 2015, at home, after a courageous battle with cancer. His loving wife and caregiver is Janet Schick Sroga.

Born in Toledo, Ohio, he was a son of the late Frank and Betty Jean Albright Sroga. Michael was a graduate of Sylvania High School, Ohio. He was employed by Latona Trucking, Jenkins Township, where he served as superintendent of construction.

Michael was a beloved husband, father, Pa, and brother, who was cherished by his family and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a member of the West Side Club, Avoca and the Lithuanian Club, Plains. Some of his favorite pastimes were gardening and golfing.

In addition to his wife, Michael is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Bernardi and husband, Sal, Kingston; Danielle Wall and husband, Patrick, Harding; Melissa Sroga, Ohio; son, Michael Sroga, Jr., Ohio; two grandsons, Skyler and Brently Wall; brothers, Robert Sroga, Florida; Steve Sroga and wife, Lynn, Delta, Ohio; sisters, Cheryl Godde and husband, Ed, Toledo, Ohio; Candi Reynolds and husband, Wes, Sylvania, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Denise Sroga.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2015, at 2:00 P.M. in Baloga Funeral Home Inc., 1201 Main St., Pittston (Port Griffith). Relatives and friends may pay their respects during a celebration of Michael's life on Sunday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
