Evagene M. Parry - Thursday, 4/7/2016
Evagene M. Parry, 77, of Laflin, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Her beloved husband, Charles T. Parry, passed away in 2002. Born in Rawson, Ohio, Evagene was a daughter of the late Louie and Della Marie Crawford Rettig. She was a graduate of Cory-Rawson High School, Rawson, Ohio. Prior to retirement, she was employed as a Nurses Aide at the Leader Nursing Home, Kingston. She attended the Restored Church, Wilkes-Barre. Evagene was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was cherished by her family and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She will also be remembered for her love of feeding and watching the birds and crocheting. She is survived by her children, Thomas Parry and wife, Denise; John Parry and wife, Vivian; Daniel Parry and wife Rebekka; Alice Parry and fiancé John Hess; sister, Marilyn Handy, Florida; brothers, Lauren and Phil Rettig, both of Ohio; Alan Rettig, North Carolina; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Rettig, Ohio; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Evagene was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Rettig. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 7, 2016, at 10:30 A.M. in Baloga Funeral Home, Inc. 1201 Main Street, Pittston (Port Griffith), with Rev. James Lane and Rev. David Culley, officiating. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., at the funeral home.
