Josephine Harenza Radginski, 85, formerly of Inkerman, passed away Sunday evening, March 19, 2017, in Riverstreet Manor, Wilkes-Barre. She was the widow of Alex J. Radginski, who passed away, March 22, 2014.
Born in Port Griffith, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Agnes Lukasczyk Harenza. She was a graduate of Jenkins Twp. High School. Josephine was a member of St. Maria Goretti Church, Laflin and before its closing was a member of St. Mark's Church, Inkerman. She was also a member of the Jenkins Township Ladies Auxiliary. Prior to retirement, Josephine was employed by Consolidated Cigar Factory, Pittston and later as a housekeeper at Wesley Village.
Josephine was a beloved mom, grammy, great grammy, sister and aunt, who was cherished by her family and will missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Gerald Gibbons and staff and the staff of Riverstreet Manor, for their compassionate care given to Josephine and her family.
She is survived by her children, Delores Darsey and husband, Brian, Tampa, FL; Robert Radginski and wife, Roxann, Pittston Twp.; grandchildren, Kyle, Geoffrey and Josh(Katy) Lokuta and Amanda Radginski; great grandson, Tanner Lokuta; brother, Edward Harenza, Plymouth; sister-in-law, Genevieve Harenza, Jenkins Twp.; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her by sisters, Helen Palivoda, Stella Breck, and Angela Kruchinsky; brothers, Andrew, Joseph, Stanley "Zip" and Leonard Harenza.
The funeral will be Friday, March 24, 2017, at 9:15 A.M. from Baloga Funeral Home, Inc., 1201 Main St. Pittston, (Port Griffith), with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. in St. Maria Goretti Church, 42 Redwood Drive., Laflin, to be celebrated by Rev. James J. Walsh, Pastor. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. The Parish Rosary Group will recite the rosary at 9:30 A.M. in the church.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
