William "Bill" P. Murman, 71, of West Pittston, passed away Friday, May 26, 2017, at his home. He and his loving and devoted wife, Nancy Bechtold Murman, celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on August 12, 2016.
Born in Pittston, he was a son of the late John Murman, Alice Burcavage Mann and stepfather, Robert "Rabe" Mann. Bill was a graduate of Taylor - Moosic High School, Class of 1964 and had went on to complete welding school. Prior to retirement, he worked as a heavy equipment operator and was employed by Latona Trucking, Jenkins Twp.. He was an avid self-teacher of computers. Bill was a member of Corpus Christi Parish, West Pittston.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Gerald Gibbons, Dr. David Greenwald and Dr. John Ellis and their staffs for the exceptional care given to Bill over the years.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are several nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John Murman.
A blessing service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 PM in Baloga Funeral Home, Inc. 1201 Main Street Pittston (Port Griffith), with Msgr. John J. Sempa, officiating.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in St. John the Evangelist Cemetery, Pittston.
