Gregory Mantione - Wednesday,8/2/2017

Gregory Mantione, 27, of Exeter, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 28 2017.

Born in Kingston, Greg was a son of Sheri Bestider and David Pisack, Exeter and Greg Mantione and Michelle Roberts, Pringle. He attended Wyoming Area School District.

Greg "Revo" as he was known to his friends...was a very free spirit who loved to travel, and see different places, and meet new faces.

His love of trains, and the rails lead him and his friends on many adventures, which included Canada, Alaska, and most of the 50 states.

Greg loved music, whether it was black death metal, 80's rock, old school rap or him trying to sing Black Sabbath at 3am with the volume on max.

When he wasn't out seeing the country, blasting music, or getting money together for a Four Loko and some Dank beer, he was sewing his favorite patchwork pants, and vest, and adding more bands, groups and logos to his daily attire.

He loved to talk and make plans to meet up with his friends, no matter how far away they were.

He was adored and loved by his family and friends. His memory will live on in their hearts forever.

In addition to his parents, Greg is also survived by his maternal grandmother. Kathleen Bestider; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Greg was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Bestider, and paternal grandparents, Ross and Mary Jane Mantione, and many many friends.

Relatives and Friends may pay their respects from 5 to 8 pm, Wednesday August 2, 2017. at Baloga Funeral Home, Inc. 1201 Main Street, Pittston (Port Griffith).

A blessing service will be held by Fr. Pio Mandato.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to "The Brain Aneurysm Foundation" at www.bafound.org; a memorial page in his name has been set up on this website or to "Prevent Point Philadelphia" at ppponline.org, this is something Greg believed in.

So sorry for your loss. Soon the God of Comfort will bring an end to death and wipe away the tears from all faces, for this has been promised at Isaiah 25:8. We can also look forward to the marvelous hope brought out at Acts 24:15. There we see that those we lost in death will be brought back to life here on earth. I do hope you find comfort in this.

I'm very sorry for your loss. Greg and I went to northwestern academy together as kids... I'll never forget when he pulled me aside during drill to tell me about Pats passing. Greg lived a free life and got to expierence many things many of us never will. Like train hopping all around the country! May he rest in peace, wherever he may be.

Sheri, I have no words that will comfort you, I wish I did. Death is a part of life and it sucks. I just believe, that when it's our time and we get to those Pearly Gates, all who have gone before us will be there to welcome us with opened arms. I love you my friend and will keep you in my prayers.
