Helen Lori, 95, of Pittston Township, passed away Friday evening, November 9, 2018, in Residential Hospice Inpatient Unit at Geisinger South, Wilkes-Barre. She was the widow of Archie Lori.
Born in Uniontown, she was a daughter of the late John and Helen Krifka Stegura. Helen was educated in the Jenkins Township schools. Prior to retirement, Helen owned and operated Helen's Beauty Shop in Pittston Township. She was a member of St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church, Pittston and was active with many events at the church including quilting and the flea market.
Surviving are her daughters, Eileen Yeremsky and Loretta Celestino, both of Pittston Township; grandson, Robert Yeremsky; sisters, Margaret Kology, Cheektowaga, NY and Rose Tobin, Kingston; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was also preceded in death by her grandson, David Yeremsky, brothers, Frank, Charles & John Stegura and sisters, Katherine Petrus, Mary Kologe, Ann Remus and Julia Kurlik.
Office of Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018, at 10:00 AM in St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church 205 N. Main Street, Pittston, to be celebrated by the Very Rev. Gary J. Mensinger. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Everyone attending is asked to go directly to the church Thursday morning.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Residential Hospice, formerly known as Celtic Hospice, 60 Wyoming Avenue, Kingston, PA 18704.
