Cynthia E. Skamarakus Morrison, 52, of Pittston, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, November 17, 2018, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township. She and her husband, Shawn Morrison, celebrated their 1st wedding anniversary on June 9, 2018.

Born in Nanticoke, she was a beloved daughter of Shirley Fela Skamarakus and the late James J. Skamarakus. She was a graduate of Greater Nanticoke Area High School, Class of 1984. She was previously employed by the Social Security Administration, Wilkes-Barre and later for Cigna, Moosic, retiring because of ill health. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston.

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her mother, Shirley Skamarakus and companion, Jim Olson of Exeter.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Janine T. Skamarakus Koch; maternal grandparents, Adam and Valeria Fela and paternal grandparents, Peter and Frances Skamarakus.

A Blessing Service will be held at Noon on Saturday, December 1, 2018, in Baloga Funeral Home, Inc. 1201 Main Street, Pittston (Port Griffith). Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

Relatives and friends may pay their respects Saturday at the funeral home from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
