Stanley S. Abromavage - Monday, 01/07/2019

Stanley S. Abromavage, 86, of Exeter, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. He and his wife, Agatha Olejnik Abromavage celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on October 29, 2018.

Born in Exeter, he was a son of the late Stanley and Theresa Bolock Abromavage. Stanley was a graduate of Exeter High School, Class of 1951, and was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement, Stanley was employed as a technical designer for Pocono Drafting, Clarks Summit and prior to that at Babcock & Wilcox, Scranton.

He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston and its Holy Name Society. In his earlier years, Stanley had been very active with the Exeter Little League, where he served as a past president. He was also a member and past president of the Lithuanian Club, Pittston.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by son Stanley D. Abromavage, Succasunna, NJ; daughter, Lynn Abromavage and her companion, Greg Santine, Exeter; three grandchildren, Samantha and Matthew Abromavage and Dana Santine; sister, Charlotte Forsey, Exeter; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday January 7, 2019, at 9:30 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 William St., Pittston. Everyone attending the mass is asked to go directly to the church on Monday morning. Interment will be in St. Casimir's Cemetery, Pittston.

Military services will be conducted by the AMVETS Honor Guard of Greater Pittston.

Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Baloga Funeral Home, Inc. 1201 Main Street, Pittston, (Port Griffith).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Wilkes-Barre Office, 57 N Franklin Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701.
