Shirley A. Tible - 4/19/2011
Shirley A. Tible, of Dupont, formerly of Clifton and Lake Hopatcong, NJ, passed away Friday evening, April 15, 2011, in Hospice Care of the VNA, Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre. She was the widow of Joseph P. Tible, who died August 26, 2006.
Born in Dupont, she was the daughter of the late Stella Serafin. Shirley was a graduate of Dupont High School, Class of 1952. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont. She enjoyed the company of her friends at Wendy’s, Pittston and Old Country Buffet, Wilkes-Barre. Shirley touched many lives and will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
Surviving is her son, Joseph P., III and his wife, Liz, Wayne NJ; and daughter, Robin Davey and her husband, David, Landing, NJ; brother, John Lena and his wife, Margaret, Oak Ridge, NJ; sister, Pat Neubert and her husband Dick, Hiawassee, GA; six grandchildren: Amy and Joey Tible, Jennifer, Lisa, Bryan and Sean Davey; great-grandson, Brent; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 11th at 11AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Lackawanna Ave., Dupont, by Rev. Joseph D. Verespy. Interment will be in Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, Dupont.

Shirl-A-Bell you did it Your Way right to the end my friend! Life will not be the same without you! The memories (and there are tons) will live on in my heart forever. Shirley was the best neighbor anyone could ever have! She was always there for me. Whenever I was over there she would ask me if I wanted a "blue drink" and she would say "you know where to find them." I remember our many games of catch phrase with my mom & dad, Joey, Liz, Amy, and little Joey. You can't forget the first time she went in our hot tub, she blew right out of the seat. She would also give me advice about softball. A little more than a week before she died we went to visit her in the hospital. She told me to stay positive and never to get down on yourself even if your not having a good game. On April 15, the day she died, I had a softball game. I pitched in the game and I had a bad inning. I remembered what she said and I stayed positive. We won. I say that I played that game for Shirley. She will be missed very much.
