Karen E. Vaxmonsky Moscatelli, 52, of Pittston, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2019.

Born in Pittston, she was a daughter of Stella Gayewski Vaxmonsky of Jenkins Township and the late William T. Vaxmonsky, Sr. Karen was a 1984 graduate of Pittston Area High School. She also attended Luzerne County Community College. In her earlier years, she participated in various beauty pageants. Some of her enjoyment came from arts & crafts, crocheting, and writing poetry. Karen was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Ryan Vaxmonsky; daughter, Kayla Moscatelli; brothers, Thomas and Frank Vaxmonsky; two grandchildren, Anthony Howard and Tobias Murray.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Brittany Moscatelli, and a brother, William Vaxmonsky, Jr.

A memorial mass will be held on Monday, August 12, 2019 at 10:00 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Relatives and friends may pay their respects, at the church, on Monday morning, August 12, 2019, 9:00 AM until the time of the mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Care and Concern Pediatric Clinic 35 William Street, Pittston, PA 18640
