Michael J. Kruchinsky - Private
Michael J. Kruchinsky, of Port Blanchard, passed away Saturday morning, (May 28th), at home, after an illness. He and his wife, Marilyn L. Stevens Kruchinsky, celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary on November 30, 2010.
Born in Pittston, he was the son of the late Joseph and Angeline Harenza Kruchinsky. He was a graduate of Northeast High School, Duryea, Class of 1965. He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. Prior to retirement, he was employed as a Supervisor at Graphic Packaging, in Illinois. Michael was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston and also a member of the American Legion, Jenkins Twp..
Michael was a beloved husband, father, and “grandpa”, whose family was the center of his life. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice Community Care, Kingston and to his “Angel” Michelle, who took great care of him everyday.
He was an avid New York Yankee and Pittsburgh Steeler fan.
Also surviving are three sons; Michael Kruchinsky, Columbus, NJ; Eric and Mark Kruchinsky, both of Pittston; five grandchildren; Brittany, Kayla, Ashley, Cassie, and Mark Kruchinsky; Sister-in-law, Sally Keithline, Dallas and several nieces and nephews.
A private Memorial Mass will be held at the convenience of the family in St. John the Evangelist Church, William St., Pittston. Interment with full military honors will be in Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Wyoming.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baloga Funeral Home, Inc. 1201 Main St., Pittston (Port Griffith).
Memorial contributions may be made in Michael’s memory to the SPCA of Luzerne County, 524 East Main Street, Fox Hill Road Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702-6991

I grew up in Port Griffith and belonged to St. Joseph's Church ( Pennies from Heaven) when Michael was an alter boy with my Uncle John Drouse ( Mousie). He was a super nice, polite young man. Marilyn..I'm so sad to hear about Mike..he was one of the nicest fellows I have ever known..We went to Northeast high school together so I was there to see him play baseball and watched as he joined the Coast Guard as was off to Opa Locka, Florida... he was a GREAT GUY..His Mom and Dad where so very proud of him.. As I read all about his life I can tell you where truely Blessed..When one of your sons was in Iran, our daughter Susan, had him as a pen pal..talk about a small world..My prayers and very special thoughts are with you and your entire family for strength to help you get through the next few days..
