Daniel "Danny" W. Pinkowsky, Sr., 58 of Pittston, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 18, 2020. He and his wife, Ramona Bowen Pinkowsky, celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary on October 1, 2020.
Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Walter and Sylvia Sterner Pinkowsky. Daniel attended Liberty High School, Bethlehem.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, who left this world way too soon but will forever be remembered by all whose lives he touched. He will be remembered for his stories, love of westerns, love of animals, and his love for camping and nature. Danny was a hard worker and always insisted on doing things himself. He was always there for anyone who needed a helping hand, especially those he loved and considered to be family. Danny had a silly nature about him that not many got to see but his family truly loved about him. He would always be there for a joke and a laugh even when you would least expect it. He took pride in being a house painter and was so proud to be able to paint his son's master bedroom in his first home.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Daniel Pinkowsky, Jr. and his wife, Victoria Washick and Joshaua Stein; grandchildren, Tyler, Joshaua, and Selene Stein and Daniel Pinkowsky, III; beloved dogs, T'anka, and Baxter; brothers, Dennis Sterner, Donald and Orlando Pinkowsky; sister, Donna Frantz; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, David Pinkowsky. Along with his parents and brother he will be greeted by his loving dogs whom they lost this year as well, Weeka, Loki, and Apache.
A Celebration of Daniel's Life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baloga Funeral Home, Inc. 1201 Main St., Pittston (Port Griffith).
