Sondra E. Bruce, 53, of West Pittston, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 18, 2021, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She and her husband, Bruce Tobin, were married 11 years on February 13, 2021.

Born in East Orange, NJ, she was a daughter of Arzlen Beavers and Ronald Bruce, Sr.. She was a graduate of East Orange High School, NJ and University of Phoenix, where she earned her Associate degree in Medical Billing. She was employed by Diversified Technology in NJ and PA and most recently by Gerrity's Supermarket, West Pittston.

She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Sondra may have left us too soon, but her love and care will live on for eternity. Anyone in her presence felt the warmth of her smile and embraced the sound of her laughter. She was an amazing chef and known for her famous Macaroni and Cheese; which will be a cherished memory.

She is also survived by her children, Justin Howell, Jennifer Howell, Jaleesa Bruce; grandchildren, Justin Howell, Jr. Davion and Nyla Steadele; brother, Ronald Bruce, Jr.; sister, Kim Worrell; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Wanda Payne and step father, Willie Beavers.

Memorial Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
