Ann M. Maurizi, 85, of Pittston Twp., passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Weatherwood Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Weatherly. She was the wife of Dante J. Maurizi, Sr., who passed away December 15, 2014.
Born in Yatesville, she was a daughter of the late Isadore and Arline Vidzar Bianco. Ann attended Jenkins Township High School. Prior to retirement, she was the cafeteria supervisor for the Pittston Area School District and previously worked in the dietary department at Wesley Village, Jenkins Twp..
She was a member of St. Joseph Marello Parish, Pittston. She was always active and involved with the many church functions.
Ann was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was known to everyone as "Mamma". She cherished her family, especially her three granddaughters and the precious memories they made over the years. Ann loved to cook homemade Italian dishes. She loved visitors in her home and made sure they never left hungry. Ann also enjoyed going to the movies. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, warm heart and endless giving of herself to anyone and everyone.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Gerald Gibbons and staff and the entire staff of Weatherwood Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center for their care and dedication given to Ann and her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Roxann Radginski and husband, Robert, Pittston Twp.; her son, Dante J. Maurizi, Jr. and his wife, Diane, Avoca; three granddaughters, Dana and Krista Maurizi and Amanda Radginski; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Anthony and Joseph Bianco and sisters, Phyllis Petrillo, Elizabeth Amader and Genevieve Barosky.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 31, 2021, in St. Joseph Marello Parish 237 William St., Pittston. Interment will be in St. Rocco's Cemetery, Pittston Twp.. Everyone attending the mass is asked to go directly to the church on Saturday morning.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Friday, July 30,2021, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Baloga Funeral Home, Inc. 1201 Main Street, Pittston, (Port Griffith), PA.
