Helen Nola, 93, of Exeter, formerly of Ft. Pierce, Fla., passed away Thursday morning July 29th in the Hospice Community Care inpatient unit at Geisinger South, Wilkes-Barre.
She was the widow of Charles Nola, who died in 2002. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Antoinette Nigro Passaro. She was a graduate of the Brooklyn Area School district. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston.
Helen was a beloved wife, mother, sister and aunt. She had devoted the last 35 years to the care of her daughter, who is afflicted with Multiple Sclerosis. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.
Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Nola, Exeter, several nieces and nephews, including her nephew, Thomas Nola and his wife Mary, Wurtsboro, NY. Helen was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth, five brothers, and a sister.
A blessing service was held on Saturday at 6:30 P.M. in the Baloga Funeral Home, Inc. 1201 Main Street, Pittston, with services by Rev. James P. Dougher. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family in the family mausoleum in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
