David J. Nicodem - Saturday, 11/6/2021

David J. Nicodem, 55, of Bridgeport, PA, died on Friday October 29, 2021, at his home.

Born in Baltimore, MD, he was a son of Diane Mulka Williams, Tunkhannock and the late John T. Nicodem, Sr.. David was a graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes Regional High School, Shamokin, where he played baseball and football. He attended Keystone College, La Plume, where he was a member of the baseball team. David was the owner of PHL 24, LLC., King of Prussia.

He was a beloved son and his mom's best buddy, brother, nephew, cousin and friend, who was cherished by his family and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

David was also an avid fan of Penn State football and the Washington Football Team.

David had some serious health struggles for many years and most recently this past year lost his leg to diabetes but with his focus and determination to get back to living life he was able to receive his prosthetic, whom he named Alex, which abled him to walk again. His mom and brother, John Thomas were his "rock" and he knew no matter what he needed or when he called they were there always. His support and love from family and friends is what made him stronger every day. And on behalf of David thank you all!

Surviving in addition to his devoted mother, is his brother, John T. Nicodem, Jr, Dupont; step-father, Wendell Williams, Tunkhannock; aunt, Donna Schouten, Phoenixville; Cousins, Christina and Tom Sossong and their daughter, Elle, who was David's shining star; numerous cousins.

David has been reunited with his father and his dear friend, Emil J. Siwak, his aunt's fiancè, both of whom he dearly missed.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Baloga Funeral Home, Inc. 1201 Main Street, Pittston (Port Griffith), with Prime Bishop Anthony Mikovsky, of St. Stanislaus PNC Church, Scranton, officiating.

Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Saturday morning from 11:00 to 1:00 P.M., at the funeral home.
