Anthony G. Griglock, 78, of Pittston, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022 in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.. He and his wife, Eleanor Argonis Griglock, celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on July 26, 2021.
Born in Port Griffith, he was a son of the late Paul and Elizabeth Jarenbsky Griglock.
He was a graduate of Jenkins Township High School, Class of 1961. While in high school he was a pitcher for the baseball team and later played club baseball for Shantytown. Anthony had served in the Army Reserves. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Plainwell Tissue, Ransom.
He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston.
Anthony was a beloved husband, father and grandpa, who was cherished by his family and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He adored and had endless fun playing with his beloved bichon, Shelby. He was a follower of the Brooklyn Dodgers prior to their move west, and later became an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts and New York Yankees. He also enjoyed fishing and his trips to the casino.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, David Griglock, Antioch, CA; Joseph Griglock and wife, Laura, Exeter; daughter, Lori Carr, Saylorsburg; five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Anthony R. Griglock on April 13, 2020; brothers, Paul and Michael Griglock and sister, Regina Griglock.
The funeral service and interment in St. Casimir's Cemetery, Pittston, will be private at the convenience of the family.
