Samuel W. Hill, 71, of Pittston, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Kingston Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Born in Nanticoke, he was a son of the late Donald A. and Vivian Caley Hill. He was a graduate of Greater Nanticoke Area High School, Class of 1969. Years earlier, he was employed by Suburban Publishing, Exeter. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Nanticoke.

He is survived by his daughter, Heather Hill and fiancé, Dave Matys, Pittston; grandchildren, Cody Hill, Payton and Skylar Warman, Pittston; brother-in-law, Ernie Shultz, Nanticoke; nephews, Tom Shultz and wife, Dana, Nanticoke and their daughter, Kaitlyn Shultz; Wes Shultz, Nanticoke; best friend for over 50 years, Paul Kowalek and wife, Sharon, Dallas.

Sam was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Shultz.

A Blessing Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 17, 2022, in Baloga Funeral Home Inc., 1201 Main St., Pittston (Port Griffith), with Fr. Paul McDonnell, O.S.J.., officiating.

Relatives and friends may pay their respects during a celebration of Samuel's life on Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00PM.
