Ann D. Casale, 88, of Pittston, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023 in Highland Manor Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Exeter. She was the wife of Joseph Casale, who passed away in 1989.

Born in Plains, she was a daughter of the late John and Stella Galushka Ostrowski. Ann was a graduate of Plains High School. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Leslie Fay and later was a school cafeteria monitor for Pittston Area.

She was a member of the ILGWU and also served on its Board. She was a life member of St. Rocco's Church, Pittston until its closure and currently of St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston.

Ann was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt, who was cherished by her family. She always enjoyed a great game of bingo. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Chiodo and husband, John, Langhorne and her son, Joseph Casale and wife, Linda, Hughestown; grandchildren, Nancy Petty and husband, Scott, Joseph Casale and wife, Allison, Mary Bracey and husband, Ryan, Kathryn DeLuca and husband, Joseph and Daniel Chiodo; great granddaughter, Emily Folger; several nieces and nephews.

Ann was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph and Martin Ostrowski and sister, Rose Miller.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, July 7, 2023, in St. John the Evangelist Church 35 William Street, Pittston. Interment will be in St. Rocco's Cemetery, Pittston Twp..

Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the church, from 9:00 AM until the time of the mass.
