Joanne M. McHale, 76, of Pittston Twp., passed away on Monday evening, October 2, 2023 in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Pittston, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Miller McHale. Joanne was a graduate of St. Ann's Academy, Wilkes-Barre and King's College, Wilkes-Barre, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree. Prior to retirement, she was the Executive Secretary to the President of PG&W Gas Company. She was a devoted member of Our Lady of the Eucharist, Pittston and served as the Coordinator of Religious Education, Lector and Eucharistic Minister. Throughout her life Joanne was an active member of the American Society of Administrative Professionals, Friends of the Pittston Library and Companions of the Mother Pauline.

Joanne was deeply religious and committed to her church, her faith community and her friends and family. She was quick to laugh and always game to try something new. Along with her tireless volunteer work, Joanne had many passions. She was an avid traveler and always had that next trip in the works. She especially loved exploring Israel and always looked forward to a week at the beach. She loved going to see a play just as much as taking in a Baby Pens game. Joanne loved life, lived with joy and would never say no to a plate of spaghetti.

The Rowley, Krempa and Ford families will greatly miss their cousin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday, October 7, 2023, in Our Lady of the Eucharist Parish 535 North Main Street, Pittston. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
