Carmen S. Cadora - Wednesday,12/20/2023

Carmen S. Cadora, 89, of Jenkins Twp., passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 3, 2023 in Maple Ridge Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, Kingston. Carmen married the love of his life Patricia Ann Capitano Cadora. They were together for 70 years and would have celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary on December 29th.

Born in Mayfield, he was the son of the late Theodore and Angeline Rose Stallo Cadora. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Ingersoll Rand, Woodcliff, NJ. He was a member of St. Joseph Marello Parish, Pittston, where he served as an usher for many years.

Carmen was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Family was his life. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, sports, speaking Italian, and listening to Italian music. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family, especially on Sundays for his homemade pasta dinner. As we celebrate his life, the Cadora family would like to thank the staff at Maple Ridge for the warmhearted care that was provided to him. All that knew Carmen referred to him as "Pop".

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Atty. Michele Cadora and partner, Sophia DeMasi; Jennifer Cadora-Cox and husband, Brad W. Cox; grandchildren, Carmen Cox and Lauron Cox; brother, Theodore Cadora and wife, Patricia; brother-in-law, Leslie Singer, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Angela Singer; Mary Ann Knabner and her husband, Eugene Knabner, Sr. and niece, Lisa Cadora.

A Blessing Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, in Baloga Funeral Home Inc., 1201 Main St., Pittston (Port Griffith), with Fr. Paul McDonnell, O.S.J., officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in St. John the Evangelist Cemetery, Pittston.
