Barbara A. LaFoca, 82, formerly of Exeter and Clermont, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at The Gardens at East Mountain, Wilkes-Barre. She was the wife of Ross A. LaFoca, who passed away August 15, 2017.

Born in Plains, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa Antinovitch Monka. She was a graduate of Plains High School, Class of 1959. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Disney as a cast member and earlier years was a manager at Gus Genetti's, Wilkes-Barre.

She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish, West Pittston.

Barbara is survived by her son, Dr. Santo LaFoca; daughters, Karen Carbaugh and Deborah Hewitt; 9 grandchildren, Jordan, Jeffrey, and Jillian Simon; Samarah, Brianna, Mia and Alexia LaFoca, and Benjamin and Iseabailla Hewitt; two nieces, a nephew and many friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Monka and sister, Patricia Monka.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Corpus Christi Parish 605 Luzerne Ave, West Pittston, to be celebrated by Fr. Robert Simon. Interment will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family in St. Rocco's Cemetery, Pittston Twp..

Relatives and friends may pay their respects from 9:30 AM until the time of the mass, at the church.
