Betty J. Gallo, 85, of Laflin, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 26, 2024. She was reunited with her husband, Frank "Harpo" Louis Gallo, who passed away January 17, 2024.
Born in Pittston, she was a daughter of the late Jack and Mary Sutter Sekusky. Betty was educated in the Pittston area schools. Prior to retirement, she was a seamstress and was employed by Andy Fashion, Leslie Fay and a few others in Pittston. She was a member of Word Fellowship Church, Old Forge, until its closure.
She is survived by nieces and nephews, including Rosemary (John) Zielinski; Holly (Mark) France; Dwayne France; great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her husband, Betty was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Nicole Gallo; brothers, Harold and Clarence Sekusky; sisters, Catherine Wrubleski, Dorothy Poluski, Judy Shane, Rosemary Brodbeck and Shirley Klimeck.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, in Baloga Funeral Home Inc., 1201 Main St., Pittston (Port Griffith), with Rev. Keith Weber, Pastor of Triboro Community Church, Old Forge, officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Burial Park, Harding.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the time of the service, at the funeral home.
