Isaac R. (Ike) Miller passed away Thursday evening, March 29, 2012, at Highland Manor Nursing Home in Exeter, Pennsylvania. Born in East Stroudsburg on October 2, 1928, he was a son of the late Chester Miller, Sr., and Mary (Neyhart) Miller. He grew up with numerous siblings.

Ike was married to the former Beatrice Collier for the last forty-two and half years. Other survivors include his daughter Cathy Miller of Wyoming, Pennsylvania, and many nieces and nephews.

A lifelong resident of Monroe County, he resided in Mt. Pocono for the past thirty-five years.

A U.S. Army veteran, Ike served in the Korean War.

An avid fisherman, Ike enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. Always fond of people and pets, he was known for his friendliness and gentle nature.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at 2:00P.M. in the chapel at Laurelwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg, PA. Interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Monroe County Joint Veterans Honor Guard, 512 Shane Dr., Effort, PA 18330.
