William J. Anderson, Jr. - Private

William J. Anderson, Jr., 89, of Hughestown, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2013, at home. His wife, Mary Theresa McAndrew Anderson, passed away in 2000.

Born in Hughestown, he was a son of the late William J., Sr. and Amanda Seak Anderson. He was a graduate of Hughestown High School and was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Procter & Gamble, Mehoopany.

William was a beloved father, grandfather, and brother, who was cherished by his family and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his daughter, Mary Terese Brannigan and her husband, Richard, Palmyra; his son, Brian Anderson and his wife, Kerrie, Dallas; brother, Eugene Anderson, Charlotte, NC; sister, Helen Curry, Hughestown, two grandchildren, Dorian and Chase Anderson; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul.

A private blessing service and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Assoc..
